Unleavened Bread study series, pt. 7/7: the spring rain unto magnifying the bread of life
Spoiler: all the dross will be separated and washed away!
It is now the high sabbath of Nisan 21, a.k.a. the seventh day of Unleavened Bread. As the concluding post to this series whose garnered widespread splendid reception so motivated me to bear for the past days and continue writing (<ahem/> [cough cough]), there is of course much to address. Prepare yourself to intake a deluge of information!
Two rains: autumn (former) and spring (latter)
First off, considering how closely intertwined the freshwaters of Jehovah-breathed doctrine are to the bread of the life, a.k.a. the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, it is critical to grasp just what the final outpouring of spiritual “water” will look like.
In the region of Palestine, going back to ancient biblical Hebrew times, two outpourings of rain ensured the growth of crops: the former rain in the autumn towards softening the soil in order to plant grains and other crops, and a latter rain in the springtime to hydrate the crops unto matured ripening. (cf.)
The prophet Moses declared of Jehovah’s promises:1
And it comes to pass! if you hearken [times] hearken unto [My] commands which I charge selfsame to-day, towards loving selfsame Jehovah [your] God, and towards serving in all [your] heart, and in all [your] soul, and set [shall be the] rain [of your] land in its season—former rain and latter rain—and gathered [shall be] grain, and new wine, and oil! and set [shall be] herbs in [your] field toward cattle, and [shall you] eat, and satiate.
What is highlighted here is emphatically clear: when God’s faithful adherent walks in His ways completely towards vindication, Jehovah will do His part and send forth His promised outpouring of dew from the heaven in both the autumn and spring seasons to ensure the crops flourish in due time towards the harvest and ensured supply of bread, grape juice, and olive oil, along with all the herbs of the field. Thus are the following Biblical Hebrew words for the former and latter rains:
יוֹרֶה (yoreh): autumn/former rain, downpouring in Palestine from cir. October-November, also translated as sprinkling
מַלְקוֹשׁ (malqosh): spring/latter rain, downpouring in Palestine from cir. March-April, also associated with eloquence
And the prophet Isaiah declared:2
Require Jehovah in finding! Proclaim in—it comes to pass—nearness. Forsake! wicked, [your] ways, and husband [his] panting [of] imagination, and backturn unto Jehovah God—indeed! multiplies toward forgiving.
Indeed! not [My] imaginations [are your] imaginations, and not [My] ways [are your] ways, [the] word [of] Jehovah. Indeed! higher [is the] heaven from land, verity! higher [is My] ways from [your] ways, and [My] imaginations from [your] imaginations.
Indeed! according to which descends the shower [of] the snow from the heaven, and thither not backturns, indeed! if! hydrates selfsame the earth, and begets, and springs, and sets seed towards sowing, and bread towards eating, verity! it comes to pass! [the] declaration which forthgoes from [My] mouth [shall] not backturn unto emptiness, indeed! if! makes selfsame which desires and prospers which outsends.
Indeed! in rejoicing [shall you be] forthgoing, and in peace outstream the mountains, and the hills break toward [the] face [of] singing, and all trees [of] the field clap [their] palms! Beneath the thornbush ascendifies juniper beneath! and beneath the brier ascendifies myrtle, and it comes to pass! [shall be] towards Jehovah, towards name, towards mark, towards everlasting [that] not [shall be] severed!
And the prophet Hosea declared to apostate ancient Israel of his generation:3
Walk and backturn unto Jehovah! Indeed! it plucks and heals, smites and upbinds. Live [shall] in two days; in day the third [shall] arise and live according to [the] face! And know [shall] afterfollowing toward knowing selfsame Jehovah according to dayspring establishing proceeding, and enters according to shower toward according to latter rain, former rain, land!
And this was what the prophet Jeremiah declared of apostate Judah:4
And toward people [of] the this, it comes to pass! conscience refracts and embitters, asideturns and walks, and not [is] said in heart, ‘Fear, pray! selfsame Jehovah God, the setting shower [of] the former rain [times] former rain and latter rain in [the] time [of] week, statutes [of] harvest keeping toward!’
And the apostle James confirmed in his exhortation to God’s people:5
Be patient, then, brethren, till the presence of the Lord; lo! the husbandman does expect the precious fruit of the earth, being patient for it, till he may receive rain, early and latter.
Autumn/former rain = Jesus(’s earthly ministry)
The prophet Joel declared of Jehovah’s appointed word:6
And sons [of] Zion: happify and rejoice in Jehovah God! Indeed! set toward [shall be] selfsame the teacher towards vindication, and descends towards shower, teacher and latter rain in [the] first! And filled [shall be] the threshingfloor [of] field-grain, overflow [shall] the presses [of] new wine and oil!
The word here for “teacher” in the Biblical Hebrew is מּוֹרֶה (moreh), which often is translated in the mainstream as “former rain.” Per the concordance details, the two connotations here for the word are not contradictory, but complimentary—it bears an intrinsic connotation to the autumn rain, but more specifically means an archer or one who teaches. Obviously, this Joel passage served as a messianic prophecy pointing to Jesus Christ as the sun of righteousness who—as the image of Jehovah manifested in the flesh—preached the righteousness of Jehovah unto the world.
Note that in this passage, the image/angel/body of Jehovah—a.k.a. Jesus Christ, or known as “Michael the Archangel” in His preincarnate form—is listed alongside the explicit promise of an accompanying latter rain, just as parallel passages mentioning the latter rain describe the former rain. And so, there is this complimentary akinness between the יוֹרֶה (yoreh: former rain) and the מוֹרֶה (moreh: teacher):
יוֹרֶה וּמַלְקוֹשׁ (yoreh w’malqosh): “former rain and latter rain” (Deut. 11:14)
מַלְקוֹשׁ יוֹרֶה (malqosh yoreh): “latter rain, former rain” (Hosea 6:3)
יֹרֶה [יוֹרֶה] וּמַלְקוֹשׁ (yoreh yoreh w’malqosh): “former rain [times] former rain and latter rain” (Jeremiah 5:24)
מוֹרֶה וּמַלְקוֹשׁ (moreh w’malqosh): “teacher and latter rain” (Joel 2:23)
The parallelism is clear: the teacher towards vindication is the antitypical autumn rain, and that teacher is the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The first gospel dispensation era of the apostolic age, cir. 30-100 A.D., therefore, was the outpouring of the former rain, corresponding to the first day of Unleavened Bread that is a high sabbath. (considering that Jesus’s ministry lasted for three and a half years7 and ended in the springtime when He was crucified, it must have began in autumn)
Spring rain → fully grown grains, olives, and grapes for harvesting
The prophet Zechariah declared:8
Ask from Jehovah rain in [the] time [of the] latter rain! Jehovah makes lightning-flashes, and [the] rain [of] shower [shall be] set toward they! toward husband herb in [the] field.
Indeed! the idols declare pantings, and the diviners envision lies and dreams [of] the vanity, declaring emptiness, sorrifying upon verity! Departed therefore [the] flock afflicted—indeed! nothing pasturing.
Upon the pasturing heated [are] nostrils! and upon the fully-matured [I] reckon—indeed! reckons Jehovah [of] Hosts selfsame herd, selfsame house [of] Judah, and places selfsame according to horse majestic in battle!
Remember now, that this Zechariah prophecy uses symbolic language—when it says “herbs,” that is in the context of prophetic symbolism for flesh, as explained in God’s conveyed oracles to the prophet Isaiah and affirmed by the apostle Peter.9
Additionally, the motif of the flock of sheep very obviously points towards God’s people, who are His sheep under the watch of their Creator, the chief shepherd.10 The shepherd became a lamb like unto His adherents who are sheep, that as the pure Lamb of God, He died a perfect atoning death on the cross to wash His flock of their spots and restore their communion with Jehovah.
The spring rain does not pour out a “different” water from the autumn counerpart: it’s the same doctrinal waters unto redemptive salvation and sanctification. The difference lies in the effecting purpose of the two rain seasons: the former rain enables the growth process, and the latter rain brings forth the final ripened harvest.
What the Mosaic-Judaic type foreshadowed, the Christocentric antitype is the substantive fulfillment of. In the Mosaic literal type, literal rainfall in the former and latter seasons ensured the growth of literal wheat/barley, grapes, and olives, towards bread, new wine, and oil. In antitype, the former and latter rain is the preaching of Jehovah’s doctrine from the 1st century apostolic Christian era unto the final outpouring of restored and vindicated God-breathed doctrinal truth—descending as a massive shower of rainfall flooding the conscience of each individual person with a message they cannot updry themselves from—that will ensure the bread of life is restored amongst the communion of God’s people predestined for redemption, as the intoxicating heavenly joy outgrowing from the communion and anointing of the Holy Spirit will be manifested in undeniable terms. As the prophet Joel declared of the Spirit’s outpouring11 (a.k.a. anointing of oil in symbolic terms12) in what the apostle Peter quoted as “the last days”13:
(i) ‘And it comes to pass! after verity! sheds selfsame spirit upon all flesh, and prophesy [shall] sons and daughters, old dreaming dreams, youth revelations seeing! And, yea! upon the servants and upon the maids in [those] days—the they!—shed [shall be] selfsame spirit!
(ii) And set [shall be] miracles in heaven and in land! blood, and fire, and pillars [of] smoke.
(iii) The sun [shall be] overturned towards darkness, and the moon towards blood, towards [the] face [of] entering [the] day [of] Jehovah, the great and the fearful! And it comes to pass! all which proclaim in [the] name [of] Jehovah [shall be] delivered. Indeed! in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, it comes to pass! [shall be] escape according to which says Jehovah, and in [the] survivors which Jehovah proclaims.
That pericope is the A branch of the second chiasm of Joel—this is the corresponding A’ branch of selfsame the at-large chiasm, a.k.a. the conclusion of the Book of Joel:14
(iii’) ‘Sun and moon [shall be] darkened! and stars [shall] ingather shining.
(ii’) And Jehovah from Zion roars, and from Jerusalem sets voice! and shaken [shall be] heaven and land. And Jehovah [shall be the] refuge towards [the] people and fortress towards [the] sons [of] Israel, and known [shall be that]—indeed!—I Jehovah God abides in Zion, Mount Sanctified! And it comes to pass! Jerusalem [shall be] sanctified, and strangers [shall] not overpass in yet.
(i’) And it comes to pass! in day the it, drop [shall] the mountains fresh juice, and the hills [shall] walk milk, and all brooks [of] Judah [shall] walk water, and [a] spring from [the] house [of] Jehovah forthgoes, and waters selfsame torrent [of] the acacias. Egypt [shall be] towards desolated, it comes to pass! and Edom [shall be] towards wilderness desolated, it comes to pass! from violencing [the] sons [of] Judah whose shed blood [was] innocent in land. And Judah [shall be] towards everlasting situating! and Jerusalem towards generation and generation, and innocised [shall be] blood not innocised. And Jehovah abides in Zion!
Outpouring of the latter rain = Noahic Covenant fulfillment
This is the pericopal chiasm of the post-Flood declaration of the mark of Jehovah’s ordained Noahic Covenant:15
a: And says God, ‘This [is the] mark [of] the covenant which I set between [Me] and between [you] and between all soul life which [are] among toward generations everlasting! selfsame bow [is] set in [the] cloud,
b: and it comes to pass! toward [the] mark [of the] covenant between [Me] and between the land.
c: And it comes to pass! in enclouding [the] cloud upon the land, and seen [shall be] the bow in [the] cloud,
d: and remembered [shall be the] selfsame covenant which [is] between [Me] and between [you] and between all soul life in all flesh!
c’: and not, it comes to pass! yet the water towards flood towards corrupting all flesh.
b’: And it comes to pass! the bow [shall be] in [the] cloud and seen towards remembering [the] covenant [of] everlasting between God and between all soul life in all flesh which [is] upon the land.’
a’: And says God unto Noah, ‘This [is the] mark [of] the covenant which [is] arisen between [Me] and between all flesh which [are] upon the land!’
Note that the centrality of this pericopal chiasm hinges on the same theme as the centrality of the at-large chiasm of the Genesis Flood narrative itself16—that Jehovah God remembers all His creation. Just as Jehovah of Hosts remembered His creation in type where literal floodwaters destroyed all flesh, so too He will remember in antitype when spiritual floodwaters of outpoured doctrinal truth will spiritually hydrate all “herbs” a.k.a. flesh and bring the penitent unto everlasting life. As Jesus declared:17
Therefore, every one who doth hear of me these words, and doth do them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house upon the rock; and the rain did descend, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell not, for it had been founded on the rock.
And every one who is hearing of me these words, and is not doing them, shall be likened to a foolish man who built his house upon the sand; and the rain did descend, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell, and its fall was great.
The “bow” a.k.a. rainbow of the Noahic Covenant centers of course upon Jesus Christ, the image of the invisible God who is at the center of the heavenly throneroom.18 During the sublime vision of the booklet in Revelation where the apostle John witnessed the three Heavenly Witnesses, the centrality of that recorded vision—a pericopal chiasm—was of course when that particular “mighty angel” (almost definitely Jesus Christ) swore to the Father, Jehovah:19
And the angel—whom I saw standing upon the sea and upon the land—did lift up his hand to the heaven, and did swear in Him who does live unto the end of the ages—who did create the heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it—that there shall be no more delay! but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he may be about to sound, and the mystery of God may be finished, as He did declare to His own servants, to the prophets.
The finishing of the mystery of God means that all the word of truth will be rightly divided,20 which means the scriptures as they were inspired by Jehovah will be understood in fullness at the very end—every verse, pericope, and chapter of every book will be restored in proper demarcation to allow the word of truth to shine forth as it is meant to be understood as God-breathed, and the chiastic mysteries will be solved. This means that the Grand Unified Chiasm (GUC)—defining the entire Bible of both testaments from the Book of Genesis to the Gospel according to John—shall come to pass! be solved and understood in resolute clarity, fully vindicating the Bible as inspired by Jehovah alone by reason that its literary structure in its fullness is undoubtedly impossible for any mortal human being to conjure up.
The final divide: which Elijah?
And so, this is (likely) the pericopal chiasm of the seventh out of the seven epistles to the seven angels of the seven assemblies:21
a: ‘And to the angel of the assembly of the Laodiceans, write:
b: These things says the Amen, the witness—the faithful and true—the chief of the creation of God: I have known your works, that neither cold are you nor hot; I would you were cold or hot!
c: Therefore, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to vomit you out of my mouth, because you say, “I am rich, and have grown rich, and have need of nothing!” and have not known that you are the wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.
d: I counsel you to buy from me gold fired by fire, that you may be rich, and white garments that you may be arrayed, and the shame of your nakedness may not be manifest, and with eye-salve anoint your eyes, that you may see.
c’: As many as I love, I do convict and chasten; be zealous therefore, and repent!
b’: Behold! I have stood at the door, and I knock. If any one may hear My voice, and may open the door, I will come in unto him, and will sup with him, and he with me. He who is overcoming, I will give to him to sit with me in My throne, as I also did overcome and did sit down with My Father in His throne.
a’: He who is having an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies!’
Jesus’s warning to the final church era—that of Laodicea—is far more stark than the previous ones: here, the Lord and Savior declares that those complacent in lukewarm waffling will be spat out of His mouth. Now, spat out to where exactly? Let’s take a look at what Christ warned during His earthly ministry:22
And I say to you, that many from east and west shall come and recline (at meat) with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the reign of the heavens, but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast forth to the outer darkness—there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth!
This was spoken of in the context of ancient, literal Israel, which failed to repent at the end of the seventy-week prophecy of Daniel 9, and faced their prophesied-of destruction in 70 A.D. when the Roman army ruthlessly crushed a Judean revolt by mass-slaughtering the unfaithful apostate Jews and permanently annihilating the Second Temple. 70 A.D., remember! served as a type for the end of the world, where the entire world will be destroyed for worshiping the image of the beast, a.k.a. adhering to a systematic culmination of a satanically apostatized “Christianity.” Notice what the prophet Zechariah uttered concerning the late-stage dilapidated condition of Judea preceding their ultimate demise:23
Thus said Jehovah my God: ‘Feed the flock of the slaughter, whose buyers slay them, and are not guilty, and their sellers say, “Blessed [is] Jehovah, and I am rich!” and their shepherds have no pity on them.
Notice a shared theme here?
“…their sellers say, ‘Blessed [is] Jehovah, and I am rich!’…” (Zech. 11:5)
“…because you say, ‘I am rich! and have grown rich, and have need of nothing!’…” (Rev. 3:17)
Just as the apostate leaders of ancient Judea in the 1st century, so too are the apostate leaders of the “Christian” world in the 21st century: they face eternal perdition for their crimes against Jehovah Most High.
Notice what the apostle Paul declared:24
For [it is] impossible for those once enlightened, having tasted also of the heavenly gift, and partakers having became of the Holy Spirit, and did taste the good saying of God, the powers also of the coming age, and having fallen away, again to renew [them] to reformation, having crucified again to themselves the Son of God, and exposed to public shame.
For earth, that is drinking in the rain many times coming upon it, and is bringing forth herbs fit for those because of whom also it is dressed, doth partake of blessing from God! and that which is bearing thorns and briers [is] disapproved of, and nigh to cursing, whose end [is] for burning.
Just as Jesus declared—upon the harvest ripening in due season, the wheat will be gathered into the barn, but the tares will be burned.25 The prophet Malachi’s concluding words are hereby corroborated:26
Indeed! behold! the day enters, burning according to [a] furnace, and it comes to pass! all proud, and all making wickedness, [are] stubble! and burns selfsame the day [of] the entering, says Jehovah [of] Hosts, which [is] not left towards they! root and branch;
and risen towards [you] fearing [My] name [shall be the] sun [of] vindication, and healing in [its] wings, and forthgo [shall you], and increase according to [the] calves [of a] stall, and trodden [the] wicked. Indeed! it comes to pass! [they shall be] ashes beneath [the] palms [of your] feet in [the] day which I make, says Jehovah [of] Hosts.
Remember [the] law [of] Moses [My] servant which charged selfsame in Horeb upon all Israel, statutes and judgments.
Behold! I outsend towards selfsame Elijah the Prophet toward [the] face [of the] entering [the] day of Jehovah [of] the great and the fearful, and backturned [shall be the] heart [of] father upon sons, and [the] heart [of] sons upon father(s), lest [I] enter and smite selfsame the land accursedly!
While John the Baptist is stated in the New Testament as the fulfillment,27 there is signified also an additional (a.k.a. double) fulfillment: just as John the Baptist was the second Elijah whose preaching heralded the former rain (Jesus’s ministry) whose culmination at the cross fulfilled the Abrahamic Covenant, so too there must be a third Elijah who heralds the latter rain fulfilling the Noahic Covenant.
When the latter rain pours out, there will be no comfortable earthly binary narrative to adhere to as you do today, where you temporally rely upon an expedient dualistic narrative of “left vs. right,” “blue vs. red,” “white vs. black,” “Zionist vs. Islamist,” “Communist vs. Nazi,” “Baal vs. Moloch,” “ketchup vs. mustard,” “cheese vs. pepperoni,” “arsenic vs. cyanide,” “mercury vs. lead,” “pineapple-on-pizza vs. no-pineapple-on-pizza,” “resistance vs. empire,” “common people vs. elites,” et al., because all those false binaries will be washed away by the latter rain, and the only final good vs. evil binary left is between the true Elijah and the false Elijah.
You will either be on the side of the Judeo-Biblical sabbath-honoring true Elijah in heartfelt alignment with the completion of the mystery of God—encompassing the unraveling of the Grand Unified Chiasm (GUC)—or you will be on the side of the Judeo-Satanic-Nazi-Ecumenical-Technofascist-Neobolshevist-Beast-False Prophet-Whore of Babylon-New Age Sunday-venerating, false-sabbath-keeping majority wondering after the false Elijah. There shall come to pass no fenceriding and no third alternative, because there will only be the two sides of a culminated Jewish civil war.
May the latter rain pour out in due season unto the finishing of the mystery of God, that the glory of the GUC, towards a full vindication of Jehovah’s everlasting righteousness, will be preached and shown unto the whole world!
And it comes to pass! when you are multiplied, and have been fruitful in the land, in those days—an affirmation of Jehovah—they say not any more, ‘The ark of the covenant of Jehovah,’ nor doth it go up on the heart, nor do they remember concerning it, nor do they inspect, nor is it made again. At that time they cry to Jerusalem, ‘O throne of Jehovah!’ and gathered unto her has been all the nations, for the name of Jehovah, to Jerusalem, nor do they go any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart. —Jeremiah 3:16-17
