No, I meant 1871. That was the era the Pike-Mazzini correspondence took place (there's another letter the year previous supposedly alluding to the Palladium Rite).

I did not know all those details before; thanks. Definitely for sure, the Johannites are at the top of the chain -- my analysis would be that the Catholic/Templarist reverence of "St. John" is a facade for the reverence/worship of the double-headed Janus in Johannist esotericism, in turn a facade for full-throated, "dualistic" worship of the devil in both his "light"/Lucifer and "dark"/Satan "incarnations."
