Sabbath study, ix: why Assad—yes, Bashar al-Assad—was God’s merciful gift to humanity
Humanity chose to reject God’s final appointed restrainer (hint: the Lion of Damascus), and for that decision will pay the ultimate price for refusing to turn to repentance.
[I write this post especially in authentically heartfelt consideration and dedicated bleeding sympathy for a particularly well-beloved Syrian friend of mine—if you’re reading this, brother, please know that I think of you all the time and yearn from the bottom of my heart to see you one day in God’s eternal kingdom where you and I may mutually rejoice in the abode of our Creator where we will see His face and where neither of us will one day ever need to cry tears of mourning lamentation again unto the end of the ages]
Prologue: a glimpse at Providence
As I stated before in a previous biblical study or few, the objective principles of mercy and justice are intertwined and inseparable. You cannot claim to champion the oppressed and downtrodden if you refuse to accept the accompanying necessity of executing justice upon the heads of the oppressors.
God does not deal with partiality—as with His own people, so with the heathen. According to the apostle Paul:1
But, according to your hardness and impenitent heart, you do treasure up to yourself wrath, in a day of wrath and of the revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who shall render to each according to his works;
to those, indeed, who in continuance of a good work, do seek glory, and honor, and incorruptibility—life age-during;
and to those contentious, and disobedient, indeed, to the truth, and obeying the unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, tribulation and distress, upon every soul of man that is working the evil, both of Jew first, and of Greek and glory, and honor, and peace, to every one who is working the good, both to Jew first, and to Greek.
For there is no acceptance of faces with God!
This was not a magically new doctrine invented apart from the Old Testament’s sayings. In Jeremiah’s time, it was declared that God would regard and punish the Israelites in Judah as if there was no distinction between Jew and Gentile!2
Behold! days are coming—an affirmation of Jehovah, and I have laid a charge on all circumcised in the foreskin: on Egypt, and on Judah, and on Edom, and on the sons of Ammon, and on Moab, And on all cutting the corner [of the beard], who are dwelling in the wilderness;
for all the nations [are] uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel [are] uncircumcised in heart!
And yet another prophet relayed God’s oracles:3
As sons of Cushim are you not to Me? O sons of Israel—an affirmation of Jehovah. Israel did I not bring up out of the land of Egypt? And the Philistines from Caphtor, and Aram from Kir?
Just as Jehovah brought up the Hebrews a.k.a. Israelites out of Egypt, so too He had raised up the nation of Philistia out of Caphtor, and the Aramaeans out of Kir—the simple fact of the matter is that God never changed. The God of the Old Testament is the same as the God of the New Testament, the LORD of Hosts who promises without contradiction a hope of mercy for the penitent covered in His righteousness and an assuring seal of doom for the unrighteous and wicked who trample upon the innocent.
I: the restrainer as God’s servant
It is always at face value to assume an Ancien Régime tyrant is the chief embodiment of atavistic evil because they are near-universally reviled by popular mass sentiment. Whether it was the imperial Roman Empire, or the literal Gallican Ancien Régime monarchy in France prior to the 1789 “revolution,” or the Ottoman Empire, or Alexander Kerensky’s short-lived 1917 Provisional Government in Russia, or the Weimar Republic, or the late Soviet government, or Saddam Hussein, Hosni Mubarak, Muammar Gaddafi, Bashar al-Assad et al., there is a repeating structural pattern: all traditional “tyrannies” by their late stage existence become invariably seen as a “sick man” liability upon the face of humanity not worth keeping around, as popular agitation for their overthrow is glorified as a “liberation” cause.
And every single time, whenever the katechón is taken out of the way, there is unleashed a torrent of savage despotism ten times worse than before:
western imperial Rome’s destruction (476) → tribal wars leading up to the consolidation of the papal “Holy” Roman Empire’s centuries of institutionalized mass murder against “heretics”
French Gallican monarchy’s destruction (1979) → mass killings of innocent French civilian populations in the name of “revolutionary liberation”
Ottoman Empire’s dissolution by the Freemasonic Young Turks (1908) → Armenian Genocide, proliferation of exponentiating Zionist and pseudo-Islamic Salafi-jihadist terrorism (its ripple effects including the eventual 1948 Nakba a.k.a. the Zionist savage mass murder of innocent Palestinians)
Provisional Government’s destruction in the Bolshevik Revolution (1917) → alternating “Red” and “White” Army death squad mass murders leading into the consolidation of Lenin’s despotic regime
Weimar Republic’s destruction (1933): ascension of Rothschild-Warburg/Zionist-bankrolled Nazi regime responsible for the genocidal mass murder of millions of (predominantly anti-Zionist and assimilationist) European Jews—not to mention tens of millions of Russian Slavs—in the Sho’ah
USSR’s dissolution (1991): proliferated capitalist kleptocracies, mass poverty, far-right ethnonationalism, human trafficking
overthrow of Saddam (2003): American-Iranian occupational installation of SCIRI-Badr death squads unleashing institutionalized sectarian mass murders of innocent Iraqi civilians, leading to the proliferation of AQI-ISIS
“Arab Spring” ouster of Mubarak (2011): ascension of Zionist-backed, institutionalized anti-Islamic Muslim Brotherhood terrorism into the halls of the Egyptian government, only to be ousted and replaced by the Sisi regime which is far worse a Zionist enabler than Mubarak ever was
“Arab Spring” ouster of Gaddafi (2011): proliferation of Zionist-backed ISIS sex trafficking and open human slave markets
Notice a… pattern?
What the restrainer is and is not (for dummies)
I have emphasized this point before and will continue to quote this passage that was universally relevant then and is relevant in the modern era:4
Let every soul to the higher authorities be subject, for there is no authority except from God, and the authorities existing are appointed by God, so that he who is setting himself against the authority, against God’s ordinance hath resisted; and those resisting, to themselves shall receive judgment.
For those ruling are not a terror to the good works, but to the evil; and do you wish not to be afraid of the authority? that which is good be doing, and you shall have praise from it, for of God it is a ministrant to you for good; and if that which is evil you may do, be fearing, for not in vain does it bear the sword; for of God it is a ministrant, an avenger for wrath to him who is doing that which is evil.
Wherefore it is necessary to be subject, not only because of the wrath, but also because of the conscience, for because of this also pay you tribute; for servants of God they are, on this very thing attending continually.
Render, therefore, to all [their] dues; to whom tribute, the tribute; to whom custom, the custom; to whom fear, the fear; to whom honor, the honor.
And again, Paul wrote:5
I exhort, then, first of all, there be made supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, for all men: for kings, and all who are in authority, that a quiet and peaceable life we may lead in all piety and gravity.
For this [is] right and acceptable before God our Savior, who does will all men to be saved, and to come to the full knowledge of the truth.
And again:6
Remind them [God’s people] to be subject to principalities and authorities, to obey rule, unto every good work to be ready, of no one to speak evil, not to be quarrelsome—gentle, showing all meekness to all men.
There is commonly propagated a presumptuously ambiguous false conflation where Paul’s words here are interpreted to mean that all “rulers” in power are flattened into a singular category who must all be prayed for. Such a blanket conflation leads to some horrendously atrocious claims of fantastic extents, such as that a rigidly wholehearted adherence to Romans 13 supposedly requires a person to legitimize the worst of synarchist genocidal children of perdition such as Hitler, even though the apostles of Jesus Christ never said that any person in governing power is automatically a legitimate ruling entity appointed by God. Even supposed “Christians” are wont for falling into this false equivalence, as reminding them of the universal applicability of Romans 13 will often be reciprocated with a whataboutist retort of, “oh, so someone in living in Germany in 1933-45 should have supported Hitler?!??” Such fallacious claims might be defined by emotionally captivating appeals to sensationalistic impulse, but collapse under the full weight of scrutiny.
It is important to distinguish that the very fundamental REASON Paul emphasized the providentially anointed legitimacy of the katechón is fundamentally because it holds back and delays the spirit of perdition’s catapulted ascension into power. When a child of perdition accumulates the power it never should have attained—whether it was the papal Roman pontiff seizing the corporeal structure of the Roman Empire, or the French Revolution, or the Nazi-Fascist takeover of continental Europe, or the expansion of Zionist terrorism in the Near East, or the “HTS” Dec. 2024 coup in Syria ad infinitum—that is the very event that the restrainer was holding back the entire time. In a nutshell: the dam that holds back a flood is NOT THE SAME THING as the flood it holds back. This simple distinction shouldn’t be particularly difficult to grasp, and yet requires such comprehensively articulated clarification due to the mind-boggling level of bedrock-bottom stupidity defining too much (if not an outright unfortunate majority) of present-day humanity.
Biblical ‘revolution’ = kenotic piety
The Lord, Savior, and Messiah Jesus Christ is often viewed retrospectively as a “revolutionary,” and yet He never once in His earthly ministry denounced the Roman Empire as a despotic regime worth overthrowing, let alone condoned such sentiments, even though that very same Roman Empire would systematically collude with the Levitical-Sadducaic priesthood in decidedly crucifying Him to death. Why? It was for the same reason Paul spoke of the imperial pagan Roman authorities as a restrainer in Romans 13 even though those same Roman authorities were relentlessly persecuting and hounding down then-faithful 1st-century apostolic Christian adherents of God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
From the providential standpoint, God is not preoccupied with the outward appearance of a person but at rather their inner heart—as it was in the days of the prophet Samuel, so it always has been:7
And Jehovah saith unto Samuel, ‘Look not unto his appearance, and unto the height of his stature, for I have rejected him; for [it is] not as man sees—for man looks at the eyes, and Jehovah looks at the heart.’
That which is prized in the sight of mortal human beings—the love of money—is deemed abominable in the eyes of the Creator of the universe.8
Jesus’s earthly ministry was only “radical” and “revolutionary” in the sense that He radically restored the truthful oracles of Jehovah to a bold extent that was jarringly revolutionary by the standards and expectations of 1st-century Judea. The resounding majority of 1st-century Jews expected the Messiah to materially overthrow the Roman Empire and set up an earthly utopia in the name of God, but far from appeasing those expectations of man, Jesus taught men to live in subservient obedience to the Roman authorities and recognize the distinction between the synagogue and the throne, or shall one put it, church and state:9
And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, that they may ensnare him in discourse, and they having come, say to him, ‘Teacher, we have known that you are true, and you are not caring for any one, for you do not look to the face of men, but in truth the way of God do teach; is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not? may we give, or may we not give?’
And he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, ‘Why me do you tempt? bring me a denary, that I may see;’
And they brought, and he says to them, ‘Whose [is] this image, and the inscription?’ and they said to him, ‘Caesar’s;’ and Jesus answering said to them, ‘Give back the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God;’ and they did wonder at him.
The apostolic “revolution” that encompasses the preaching of the gospel is not a movement whose end goal is the consolidation of an earthly “kingdom of God” utopia set up by human hands upon a diseased, mortal foundation. It was already revealed in the vision to Nebuchadnezzar—recorded in Daniel 2—that God’s eternal kingdom to arrive to the earth is the outgrowth of a certain stone cut out without hands,10 a.k.a. it is the working of Jehovah—not a working of mortal human beings!—that is wonderful in the eyes of His people.11
Jesus, who served in His earthly life as an example for His faithful adherents to walk in the path of,12 did not exalt Himself into His earthly death, but:13
…did empty himself, the form of a servant having taken, in the likeness of men having been made, and in fashion having been found as a man, he humbled himself, having become obedient unto death—death even of a cross.
Wherefore, also, God did highly exalt him, and gave to him a name that [is] above every name, that in the name of Jesus every knee may bow—of heavenlies, and earthlies, and what are under the earth—and every tongue may confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
As the chief shepherd, the image of the invisible God14 came into humanity15—clothed in physical human flesh16—as the spotless17 Lamb of God18 to atone for the sins of His sheep,19 a.k.a. God’s people predestined unto the hope of salvation.20
II: God’s final appointed restrainer
Case i: Rome
If the apostle Paul—writing in the 1st century under the providentially granted gift of prophetic revelation to know what will come to pass centuries after his death—spoke of the then-imperial Roman Empire as a restraining entity, how much more so were Saddam Hussein, Muammar al-Gaddafi, and Bashar al-Assad ever the divinely appointed embodiment of the katechón principle!
This is the precise reason why: the imperial pagan Roman authority—that Paul spoke of through an implied détente lens as a restrainer not to be opposed—was not even a full restrainer in verity and substance against the very thing it restrained against, a.k.a. the docetic Gnostic heresy that was catapulted into power in the form of papal Constantinian-Nicene syncretism.21 The imperial Roman Empire was a restrainer in ostensible effect because its existence as the chief occupier of the seat of civic authority barred the Gnosticism-heralded Roman pontiff from usurping that throne, but far from crushing Gnostic movements and protecting Christians, the imperial Roman power was notoriously visible for allowing cabalistic esoteric-Gnostic sects to thrive as state-sanctioned controlled opposition fronts advocating “abstract philosophy” all the while relentlessly persecuting God’s faithfully apostolic Christians into martyrdom in horrendously torturous and gruesome methods.
In both Daniel and Revelation, Rome as an empire is depicted in visionary symbols as one single continuous empire from antiquity into the end of time when the Ancient of Days (a.k.a. Jesus Christ) will destroy it in the Parousia.22 Specifically in Revelation chapter 13, the shift from Rome as an imperial restrainer into the monstrously hybrid papal supremacist empire that was restrained against is portrayed as the exact same beast, only that its head was mortally wounded and the deadly wound was healed.23
A more comprehensive illustration is provided in the apostle John’s vision of the woman riding the beast, where the angel explained:24
‘Here [is] the mind that is having wisdom! the seven heads are seven mountains, upon which the woman does sit, and there are seven kings: the five did fall, and the one is, the other did not yet come, and when he may come, it behooves him to remain a little time.
And the beast that was, and is not, he also is eighth, and out of the seven he is, and to destruction he does go away.’
In a nicely summarized nutshell, this would be the prophetic fulfillment:
“five are fallen”: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece (in this exact specific order)
“one is” (sixth king): imperial Rome in its pagan form as existed then in the late 1st century (when the apostle and evangelist John received the Revelation of Jesus Christ), and which continued to exist in pagan form until 313 A.D.
“not yet come, must continue a short space” (seventh king): imperial Rome in its weakened, syncretism-compromised Constantinian form from 313-476 A.D.
“beast that was, is not, and yet is” (eighth king): the son of perdition a.k.a. antichrist, IOWs the papal Roman confederacy hegemonically consolidated into full fruition in 538 A.D.
Technically speaking, Rome as a kingdom—represented in the visions of Daniel and Revelation as a monstrously hybrid beast—only operates out of one “head” in reality, albeit the vision in Rev. 17 shows seven heads to convey a timeline of empirical succession whereby the Roman Empire inherited the attributes of its predecessors. The sixth and seventh heads represent respectively the pagan and Constantinian-Nicene phases of imperial Rome, and it is the “seventh king” which receives the mortal wound (476 A.D.), with the eighth king being the Roman structural hegemony after its deadly wound was healed in 538 A.D., “resurrected” in a satanically counterfeit “life, death, rebirth” cycle from the imperial empire that restrained the son of perdition into the very son of perdition.
So all in all, the picture is prophetically painted in biblically collated consistency that Rome in its imperial form definitely functioned as a restraining power against perdition, albeit it was largely in ostensibly impacting effect as a corollary of its nature and not quite as “directly.”
Case ii: Iraq
In stark contrast, Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gaddafi, and Bashar al-Assad were very actively opposed in diametrical confrontation towards the spirits of perdition that were catapulted into power after their overthrow—the Anglo-Zionist backed “Islamist” movements inculcated in the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda et al. were intensely suppressed under their rule, while quietist religious adherents of goodwill piety were largely protected under state supervision. Relative to ancient imperial Rome, those particular so-called “brutal Arab tyrants” of modern history were practically humanitarian philanthropists by comparison!
Now, as I noted back here:
…Saddam Hussein did not embody the resolutely all-encompassing fulfillment that Bashar al-Assad did. Just as pagan Rome’s imperial brutality in its structural forms and trappings were co-opted and repurposed by papal Rome, there is a similar pattern of how Saddam Hussein’s methods of undisputed brutality were in many ways co-opted and cynically “repurposed” in an outwardly superficial manner by both the SCIRI-Badr regime and AQI-ISIS:
Saddam used Abu Ghraib to torture dissenters and fundamentalist extremists opposed to the Ba’ath Party → U.S./Iranian SCIRI-Badr occupiers hijack Abu Ghraib’s corporeal structure to use it to torture innocent Iraqi civilians
Saddam gassed Zionist/Iranian-backed Kurds on politicidal pretexts → some Ba’athist remnants joined AQI-ISIS and participated in the production and usage of chemical weapons against innocent civilians for genocidal purposes
Saddam ordered collective punishment reprisals against Khomeinist-agitated revolts from discontent Shi’a → AQI indiscriminately targeted Shi’a
Fedayeen Saddam in the late Iraqi Ba’athist era (late 1990s/early 2000s) occasionally employed beheadings as “public examples” against continued public critics of the Ba’ath Party → AQI-ISIS weaponizes decapitation as a mass-scale terrorism method against innocent civilians
Iraqi Ba’athists denounced Zionism and Iran as sinister partners → AQI co-opts that narrative in its specifically propagated “Safavid-Crusader” trope
Saddam’s Faith Campaign instrumentalized and promoted conservative Salafists for “Islamic” validation → AQI co-opts Ba’athist-Salafist convergences into its own violently Salafi-jihadist banner
Take note here that I am not suggesting that Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi Ba’ath Party were responsible for either the SCIRI-Badr hegemony nor AQI-ISIS, just that I am pointing out how the corporeal structure and modus operandi tactics of Saddam Hussein’s brutality served in their unfortunate ends as an ambiguously malleable blueprint that was hijacked by an alien spirit of perdition.
The emphasis here, rather, is to highlight Saddam’s ultimate imperfections and where he ultimately fell short of fulfilling the full substance of the restrainer. Similar to imperial Rome, Saddam Hussein’s functional role as a restrainer against perdition did not quite mete out to the threshold of embodying a resolutely-diametrically different governing orientation from that of those who co-opted the dead corporeal body of his destroyed Ba’athist systematic complex. In many ways indeed, Saddam’s brutality made it incredibly difficult for Iraqis to accept him as a katechón whose rule was worth preserving until it was realized too late in retrospect by the mid-to-late 2000s, when sectarian death squads flourished and a return to the old days was untenable.
Case iii: Syria
In contrast to all his predecessors, Bashar al-Assad accomplished what no other “tyrannical regime dictator” ever could: he validated Providence’s divinely uttered oracles as an earthly witness of the righteousness of God to the fullness:
Bashar was an accidental heir to the Syrian throne, never originally intended to become President of Syria—he was exposed to the outside world and ingratiated in the meanderings of everyday life as nearly an average person while an ophthalmologist residing in Britain
as President of Syria, he extended generous olive branches to old rivals and enemies of his late father (namely Saddam and Arafat) for the sake of authentically heartfelt Promethean mutual solidarity
when the Iraq War produced millions of destitute refugees out of the once-dignified Mesopotamian heart of the Near East, Bashar al-Assad generously opened the doors to some >1 million Iraqis and provided them with Syrian state-sponsored social benefits as the Syrian national economy was strained
at the start of the CIA/Zionist-instigated “Arab Spring” propelling al-Qaeda/Muslim Brotherhood Salafi-jihadist insurrectionist agitation against Assad, the Syrian president offered dialogue to appease the “opposition” demands, releasing a number of Salafi-jihadist prisoners from Sednaya as concessions precisely because the jihadist “opposition” demanded prison releases
throughout the dirty war against Syria, Assad and the SAA gave al-Nusra/ISIS terrorists numerous chances to lay down their arms and retreat, only for the Zionist-backed Salafi-jihadist terrorists to heinously exploit the “leeway” opportunity to maximize their genocidally expansionist territorial gains by whatever brutal means necessary
longtime critics and secular “opposition” factions who opposed Assad in 2011 were generously offered chances to recant and be re-accepted into government territory under Assadist/SAA protection if they vowed ironclad support for the Assadist government against the Zionist/Gulf-backed Salafi-jihadist “rebels”
within government-held territory, Syrians of all ethnic and religious backgrounds lived in harmonious peace with one another in mutual solidarity regardless of individual “sect” affiliations, choosing to quietly live under an imperfect-albeit-functional Assad’s rule rather than resort to sectarianism, anarchically militant agitation, or any form of social destabilization
in 2021, Assad reached out to all Syrians for electoral participation in that year’s Syrian presidential election, extending a final olive branch of conciliatory goodwill that ultimately was rejected once and for all by the “opposition”
The last point is most crucial of all: far from a “brutal dictator,” Bashar al-Assad offered his existential “Syrian opposition” nemeses one last opportunity at reconciliation for the sake of mutually rebuilding the Syrian nation: participation in a wholly democratic, everyday-people-empowering process of determining who the Syrian people choose as their national leader.
While Syrians within government-controlled territory may or may not have been plausibly able to rally around a formidable “opposition” candidate to vote for in droves, that dynamic did not apply to the millions of Syrians living outside government-controlled territory where there were no so-called “shabiha” goons to instigate voter suppression and harass them in foreign consulates. IOWs, the jihadist-dominated “opposition” could have staged a massive write-in campaign and rallied anti-Assad diasporist Syrians into voting for any “opposition” candidate to their liking, but instead they chose to boycott the 2021 Syrian presidential election entirely as their Zionist/Western/Turkish/“opposition” patrons blocked Syrians from voting in the 2021 election via consulates.
By choosing to boycott the 2021 Syrian presidential election, the anti-Assad “opposition” chose once and for all to cut themselves out of the Syrian nation, demonstrating that their only real objective and goal was to overthrow Assad by whatever means necessary, not to actually rebuild the Syrian nation into prosperity out of any genuine goodwill sincerity. Bashar al-Assad thereby was legitimate reelected as president with 95% of the vote in over 78% voter turnout, reflecting the will of the resilient Syrian people—the true possessors of the Syrian nation—that chose to maintain their president as their national leader.
And what did the “Syrian opposition” do? Over three years after cutting themselves out of the Syrian nation once and for all, they cheered in an uproar of jubilation when Al-Qaeda in Syria (AQS) (a.k.a. “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” or “HTS”) launched a violent coup d’état in Nov.-Dec. 2024 to overthrow the democratically legitimate Syrian government. When Bashar al-Assad’s Syrian government fell on December 8, 2024, the whole world in its wicked mass majority cheered the depraved abomination as a supposed “liberation” and “revolutionary victory,” even though the subsequent result is Libya 2.0: AQS-HTS takeover of Damascus has resulted in proliferated death squad campaigns against innocent Syrian civilians as Sunnis, Shi’a, Alawites, Christians, Druze, and Kurds alike face relentless jihadist massacres.
The resoundingly wicked, perditious majority human inhabitants of the world who cheered on the Dec. 8 overthrow of Assad have not repented. Far from repenting of their depraved jubilation and cheering over a horrendously genocidal catastrophe, they act as if they themselves did nothing wrong whatsoever after years of supporting and enabling the Zionist/Gulf-backed “opposition” Salafi-jihadist death squads shedding the blood of innocent Syrians, choosing instead to insist that “Assad was an evil dictator!” amongst other pathetic excuses and diversionary pivots.
In their refusal to repent of their grotesque enabling of the grotesquely unleashed abomination against the Syrian nation, the majority of humanity have demonstrated once and for all that there is no legitimately appointed ruler by God they will not clamor to overthrow. No matter how generous, forgiving, and compassionate towards dissenters and “opposition” factions the restrainer will be in unprecedented extents towards those demanding his overthrow, his ungodly, unpenitent, unthankful, and unholy detractors are bent on presumptuously self-magnifying, power-thirsty arrogance to the maxim and will demand the overthrow of that righteously ordained legitimate government, even if it means bringing about a torrent of sectarian death squads massacring tens of thousands of innocent civilians as scores upon scores more are trafficked to r*pists and pedophiles.
Bashar al-Assad was as generous, patient, and forgiving as a katechón could become. His enemies, instead of embodying the humility to admit they were wrong about calling for his overthrow and that his “regime” was a legitimate government after all, instead in their hardhearted, stubbornly malicious minds of uncivilized savage evil chose to relentlessly demand his overthrow by whatever means necessary, and even after it was demonstrated afterwards that removing Assad meant innocent Syrians would be harassed, tortured, trafficked, and massacred by Zionist-enabled al-Qaeda/ISIS HTS death squads, they chose not to repent of their own complicity in legitimizing the anti-Assad banner that enabled the end Libya 2.0 result.
The Lion of Damascus, former Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, was Providence’s last probationary gift to humanity that humanity did not deserve. By sending Bashar al-Assad to become the President of Syria, the Levant was kept under politically secular, cross-sect-unified stability preventing the pseudo-Islamic “Islamists” from seizing the Levant to hasten the final Sabbatean-Frankist nuclear armageddon that brings about the final satanic beast empire, thereby giving all of humanity an extra time to repent of their sins. Bashar al-Assad not only served that baseline functional role of holding back the dialectical machinery of synarchy that ultimately destroyed Syria on Dec. 8, 2024, but he embodied just about as generously kindhearted of a pro-humanity protector of upright civilians as a legitimate political leader could become, offering the unrighteous countlessly generous opportunities to turn away from their evil ways in return for guaranteed state protection from harm.
By refusing to repent of their sin of overturning and overthrowing God’s appointed legitimate servant in the Syrian nation, the majority of humanity has torn off the mask and demonstrated on open air in front of the whole universe that nothing will ever bring them to repentance and lead them into accepting the path of righteousness in humility, and that they are only fit for facing annihilating extirpation by the wrath of God off the face of the universe permanently for good so that sin and its propagators are extinguished for the persecuted and crushed righteously innocent human beings to live in everlasting harmonious peace with their Creator they love and serve with all their heart and all their mind.
III: the Elijah experience
And so, for a truly rare and penitent dissenter against the global synarchist promulgators of perdition left on this planet, the experience is incredibly dejecting and debilitating. Once God’s appointed restrainers are all overthrown, there remains no more a hope of material “resistance” against the syndicates of institutionally embedded evil on this planet, as all such presumptuous grasps at utopianism are but a fantasy delusion that only pipeline into a convergence with the spirit of perdition eventually down the line.
Elijah the Prophet, as a typifying predecessor to not only John the Baptist but the end-times gospel herald, experienced a bitter stomach after a mouthful of sweetness. I Kings 19, wonderfully structured a pericopal chiasm, highlights the burden and God-appointed hope for the prophet:
a (19:1-3): “And Ahab declares to Jezebel all that Elijah did, and all how he slew all the prophets by the sword, and Jezebel sends a messenger unto Elijah, saying, ‘Thus do the gods, and thus do they add, surely about this time tomorrow, I make thy life as the life of one of them!’ And he fears, and rises, and goes for his life, and comes in to Beer-Sheba, that [is] Judah’s, and leaves his young man there.”
b (19:4-8): “And he himself has gone into the wilderness a day’s journey, and comes and sits under a certain retem-tree, and desires his soul to die, and saith, ‘Enough, now, O Jehovah! take my soul, for I [am] not better than my fathers.’ And he lies down and sleeps under a certain retem-tree, and behold! a messenger comes against him, and says to him, ‘Rise, eat;’ and he looks attentively, and behold! at his bolster a cake [baken on] burning stones, and a dish of water, and he eats, and drinks, and turns, and lies down. And the messenger of Jehovah turns back a second time, and comes against him, and says, ‘Rise, eat, for the way is too great for you;’ and he rises, and eats, and drinks, and goes in the power of that food forty days and forty nights, unto the mount of God—Horeb.
c.I (19:9): “And he comes in there, unto the cave, and lodges there, and behold! the word of Jehovah [is] unto him, and sas to him, ‘What—to you, here, Elijah?’”
c.II (19:10): “And he says, ‘I have been very zealous for Jehovah, God of Hosts, for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, Your altars they have thrown down, and Your prophets they have slain by the sword, and I am left, I, by myself, and they seek my life—to take it.’”
d (19:11-12): “And He says, ‘Go out, and you have stood in the mount before Jehovah.’ And behold! Jehovah is passing by, and a wind—great and strong—is rending mountains, and shivering rocks before Jehovah:—not in the wind [is] Jehovah; and after the wind a shaking:—not in the shaking [is] Jehovah; and after the shaking a fire:—not in the fire [is] Jehovah; and after the fire a voice still small;”
c’.I (19:13): “and it comes to pass, at Elijah’s hearing [it], that he wraps his face in his robe, and goes out, and stands at the opening of the cave, and behold! unto him [is] a voice, and it says, ‘What—to you, here, Elijah?’”
c’.II (19:14): “And he says, ‘I have been very zealous for Jehovah, God of Hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, Your altars they have thrown down, and Your prophets they have slain by the sword, and I am left, I, by myself, and they seek my life—to take it.’”
b’ (19:15-18): “And Jehovah says unto him, ‘Go turn back on your way to the wilderness of Damascus, and you have gone in, and anointed Hazael for king over Aram, and Jehu son of Nimshi you do anoint for king over Israel, and Elisha son of Shaphat, of Abel-Meholah, you do anoint for prophet in your stead. And it comes to pass, him who is escaped from the sword of Hazael, put to death does Jehu, and him who is escaped from the sword of Jehu put to death does Elisha; and I have left in Israel seven thousand, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.’”
a’ (19:19-21): “And he goes thence, and finds Elisha son of Shaphat, and he is plowing; twelve yoke [are] before him, and he [is] with the twelfth; and Elijah passes over unto him, and casts his robe upon him, and he forsakes the oxen, and runs after Elijah, and says, ‘Let me give a kiss, I pray you, to my father and to my mother, and I go after you.’ And he says to him, ‘Go, turn back, for what have I done to you?’ And he turns back from after him, and takes the yoke of oxen, and sacrifices it, and with instruments of the oxen he has boiled their flesh, and gives to the people, and they eat, and he rises, and goes after Elijah, and serves him.”
The third Elijah for the final gospel dispensation must learn from the historical example of the first and second Elijahs—for starters, the very name in the Biblical Hebrew, אֵלִיָּהוּ (Eliyahu), literally means “my God is Jehovah.” This is the very message that the final remnant embodies, as articulated in Zechariah 13:25
And it has come to pass, in all the land, an affirmation of Jehovah, two parts in it are cut off—they expire, and the third is left in it.
And I have brought the third into fire, and refined them like a refining of silver, and have tried them like a trying of gold; it does call in My name, and I answer it, I have said, ‘My people it [is],’ and it says, ‘Jehovah [is] my God!’
For additional information, I clarified the actual meaning of Zech. 13:8-9 back here:
What does it mean to acknowledge in truth and verity Jehovah as one’s God? It is important to grasp also what the name Israel means in its original context. Far from the modern-day grotesquely conflated connotation with a Nazi ideology of hexagramic genocide, pedophilia, torture, and ethnonationalism, the original biblical definition is as far removed from its modern perverters as the east is from the west.
It is recorded in Genesis:26
And Jacob is left alone, and one wrestles with him till the ascending of the dawn; and he sees that he is not able for him, and he comes against the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh is disjointed in his wrestling with him; and he says, ‘Send me away, for the dawn hath ascended:’ and he says, ‘I send you not away, except you have blessed me.’
And he says unto him, ‘What [is] your name?’ and he says, ‘Jacob.’
And he says, ‘Your name is no more called Jacob, but Israel; for you have been a prince with God and with men, and do prevail.’
No longer would the patriarch be named “Jacob” (a.k.a. “supplanter”), but rather “Israel,” IOWs “God prevails.” To be a biblical child of spiritual Israel, a.k.a. the heavenly Zion, means to wrestle with God and acknowledge out of a pure heart the prevailing victory of God. Just as Jehovah of Hosts patiently dealt with His servants the prophets in days of old when their spirits were deflated and their hope temporally extinguished in interludes of distrust and faithlessness, so too He is patient, slow to anger, abundant in kindness, and repenting of evil during this present era.27
In the end, the final clash will be between the true Elijah and the false Elijah: the true Elijah represents the fulfillment of Zech. 13:8-9 in truth and verity in contrast to the false Elijah who propagates a “fulfillment” of his manufactured false prophecy to stage a false pretense of fulfilling Zech. 13:8-9. I explained some of this back here:
Epilogue: the kenotic بعث (ba’ath) a.k.a. resurrection
The earthly Ba’ath Party is dead. Iraq’s Ba’athists under Saddam Hussein served as a restrainer to curtail the Sabbatean-Frankist perditious cesspool of Zionist/Iranian-astroturfed neo-Qutbist sectarianism into Iraq only up until 2003, and likewise Syria’s Ba’athists under Bashar al-Assad restrained the Zionist-backed Al-Qaeda in Syria (AQS) a.k.a. “HTS” from magnifying into Syria only up until 2024.
Assadist-Ba’athist Syria, the final restrainer against the perdition witnessed in accelerated magnification today (as of typing), is gone. And with it, the Ba’ath Party—representing the ideological banner that heralded the final restrainer—is gone.
In his presidency, the Lion of Damascus fulfilled Michel Aflaq’s vision of the socialist pan-Arab Ba’ath: Bashar al-Assad from 2000-03 restored Syrian-Iraqi relations, and throughout his presidency presided over a cross-sect, unified Syrian nation under government-retained territory where Syrians of all stripes lived in mutually amicable harmony with one another regardless of “sect” identity. In that sense, Bashar al-Assad accomplished an earthly vision of the ba’ath or resurrection from the standpoint of rejuvenating into manifested reality a robust society of interconnected solidarity as contemporaneously seen nowhere else on the planet.
The earthly “ba’ath” may be an extinguished hope as the last restrainer—the Syrian nation headed by the Lion of Damascus—is no more, but there remains the hope of a spiritual resurrection unto eternal life: just as Jesus Christ emptied himself (a.k.a. kenosis) unto an earthly death in 100% self-abased humility in obedience to Jehovah who raised him from the dead to be appointed as Lord,28 so too those who walk in Jesus’s footsteps and die to self29 in self-abased humility before God30 are promised an inheritance31 in the eternal kingdom of the Lion of Judah.32
In those days, and at that time, an affirmation of Jehovah, come in do sons of Israel, they and sons of Judah together, going on and weeping they go, and Jehovah their God they seek. [To] Zion they ask the way, thitherward [are] their faces: come in, and we are joined unto Jehovah, a covenant age-during—not forgotten! —Jeremiah 50:4-5
And the world does pass away, and the desire of it, and he who is doing the will of God, he does remain to the age. —I John 2:17
